Sep. 21st, 2005 09:01 pmWhat do you say when you're standing at the end of your journey? Do you wax poetic? Do you rejoice? Do you weep? Are they tears of sadness or joy?
Well obviously you wax poetic.
I stand here and look back on the last five years and I see my friends. Kota, Munki, Lewis, Cassi, Mike, Iowa, Encrypt, all of them and I see them now. I helped guide these people on a very long journey and now it's come to the end and we have to go our separate ways. I can go back someday if I want. I can start over and try to do it better. I can try to animate it, but it will never be the same journey again. The road has ended and only more roads greet me. I can say though, I think I'm leaving them in a place they'll be happy. I wish them only be best what ever they do with themselves.
I have to admit a certain amount of pride in what I've done (not counting typos). In a field where comics run for a year or so and then just peter out I was able to keep going for the full run and end it where I meant to.
There are a lot of people I want to thank, but I'll save that for next Tuesday with the wrap up crap. Sunday is it folks. It's been a fun ride and I'd be lying if I said I wasn't going to miss it. Till Tuesday then. - Kev.
